Mazda has recalled a total of 90,363 vehicles built between 2017 and 2019 due to a potentially faulty fuel pump impeller.

The recall includes the Mazda 2 (DJ/DL), Mazda 3 (BN), Mazda 6 (GL), CX-3 (DK), CX-5 (KF), CX-9 (TC), and MX-5 (ND).

According to a recall notice published by the Department of Infrastructure, the impeller fitted in the low-pressure fuel pump used across all seven models “may become deformed and cause [it] to stop working,” resulting in a vehicle stalling.

Mazda will contact affected owners, but the company can be contacted directly by calling 1800 034 411 or visiting a dealership, found here.
