  • Total of 95 vehicles recalled
  • Brake failure may occur over time
  • Volkswagen is asking owners to contact local dealers

A recall notice has been issued for the 2021 Volkswagen Passat after a potential problem with its braking system was discovered.

Covering just 95 units sold so far this year, a threaded nut which connects the brake servo and pedal may not meet manufacturing standards – potentially leading the two parts separating.

If this failure occurs it could result in a loss of braking power, creating a higher risk of an incident.
