Extremely patient man creates Ram 1500 TRX from wood

We've all been at a loose end on a weekend and felt like finally getting into THAT project. You know the one, something which will serve as a distraction for a few days before getting back into the grind.

Some people build model cars, some do a bit of woodwork but not everyone decides to make a model car from wood.

Well, YouTuber Woodworking Art did, spending his spare time on creating an homage to the Ram 1500 TRX pick-up truck out of Fujian Cypress.

The beginning of the build process

The process is mind-boggling, with proper attention to detail given as if this was a SEMA build or designed to feature as a 4x4 Australia reader's ride.

Moving suspension, opening doors and a detailed interior make this one of the best hand-crafted automotive pieces of art we've seen, and it's probably a decent amount cheaper than a real TRX, packing a 523kW/881Nm 6.2-litre Hemi V8.

Some other cars have already been built by the channel's creator, with his most popular video of a wood-carved Toyota LandCruiser Prado amassing over 155 million views.
