2019 Frankfurt motor show: the stars to look for

The 2019 Frankfurt motor show is next week, and on this page, we'll guide you through all the key cars, launches and big news stories expected at this autumn's Internationale Automobil Ausstellung (or IAA for short).

So, what to expect? There's going to be tonnes of new metal at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, but some highlights due to be shown at the Messe in the heart of the city include the long-awaited Land Rover Defender 4x4, the first all-electric Porsche - the Taycan - and the full production version of the VW ID3, which aims to do for Volkswagen's EV ambitions what the Beetle and Golf did for its mainstream cars.

We've been waiting to see those three for several years now and we'll shortly have the full story live from the show floor.

Alongside that trio, we're expecting plenty more surprises, from the new Lamborghini Sian hybrid supercar to the rather interesting-looking Hyundai 45.
